2131 180 Rd ~ Glen Elder, KS ~ 785-545-3345 Glen Elder State Park, located 12 miles west of Beloit in Mitchell County, Kansas, and immediately adjacent to U.S. Highway24, is conveniently situated along the north shores of the landmark 12,500-acre Waconda Lake / Reservoir. Glen Elder State Park offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities and supporting facilities. Highly maintained, it is very suitable for family and friend gatherings, boaters, campers and other outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. A children’s playground, swimming, boating, hiking, volleyball, softball, and bicycling facilities are all available within the park, along with a fish cleaning station and reservable group shelter. Basic groceries, dining, bait and other supplies are available within one mile of the park. The Hopewell Church and replica of Waconda Springs, the lake’s namesake, sits just a half-mile north of the shores of Waconda Lake and within the bounds of Park. |
